House & Gallery

Visit the Fred J. Johnston House Museum and the FHK Gallery on the corner of Main and Wall Streets in uptown Kingston. Open from May through the end of October on Fridays and Saturdays from 11am-4pm. The gallery showcases Kingston’s history and culture with special exhibits each year. Available in the gallery are brochures, books and items of local interest. Donations are welcome. Register in the FHK Gallery for a guided house tour, $10 fee for admission.

Tours

Learn about Kingston’s history and see its distinctive architecture with FHK’s tour guides. Walking tours are available May - Oct.

The 1658 Stockade National Historic District Tour is held on the first Saturday of the month, and departs 11am from the Friends of Historic Kingston Gallery on the corner of Wall & Main Streets.

The Rondout National Historic District Tour is held on the last Saturday of the month, departs 11am from Lower Broadway.

Fee: $10, free admission for members. Visit the tours page for more information.

Join us Fridays & Saturdays 11-4pm at the FHK Gallery for our ongoing exhibit STILL STANDING, which examines twelve instances where the Friends and our community persevered and saved historic structures from decay and destruction.
