On October 10th Dr. Philip Zimmerman, a nationally recognized authority on early American furniture, visited the Fred J. Johnston House with an architectural and design study group as part of his tour of Famous Houses of the Hudson Valley. He spoke enthusiastically about numerous objects in the collection- chairs, needlepoint, chests and porcelain. He was impressed with the Museums collection of early American furniture.
